ABSTRACT
The newest and most difficult challenge in the cyber industry is cybercrime. A very significant proportion of arrested criminals seemed to be using no technology to mask their identities during the period studied in this research. Due to technical advances, Internet availability for youngsters has been made ever easier. More and more children have access to smart phones and tablets, which makes them susceptible to being a cyber victim because of a lack of parenting supervision. There have been concerns throughout a substantial period regarding the role of technology development in the field of child sexual offences, sexual exploitation and possible harm. Everyone may easily access data and information from all around the world when the Internet has been developed. However, some people misuse computers and the Internet for crimes, such as cyber pornography, cyber stalking, emails bombing, viruses assaults and online jacking, instead of benefiting from the internet. Apart from these crimes, cyber abuses are used by the criminals, which is also a type of cyber-crime. Criminals employ unlawful activities, such as internet grooming, to victimize minors. Computers and the Internet are used to conduct crimes against children, including child pornography exploitation, manufacturing, distribution and possession; hazardous content exposure; labours, harassment and sexual abuse; and cyber bullying. Thus there is always a requirement of the data protection laws and data privacy is an important factor and this article shall further deal with the very fact across the globe regarding the child protection rights and acts, suggesting some key points for improving the security of children in the cyberspace.
