Impact Of Traditional Medicines With Reference To Doping In Sports: An Analysis

ABSTRACT

Traditional Medicine is that which is made with the help of knowledge, beliefs, experiences of indigenous people. Nowadays traditional medicines are not very much in existence use of chemicals are more as compare to ancient times. Some years back people use to treat the diseases with a traditional medicines likewise people believe in knowledge and beliefs of indigenous people and trust on past experiences like this plant is useful people use to treat the diseases. The international organisation World Health Organisation (WHO) is the one which had given the formal definition of traditional medicine which says that it is the combination of knowledge, beliefs, assumptions, and experiences. Nowadays the impact of traditional medicines is increasing very much in sports which is termed as doping it usually increases the ability so that sportsperson have good performance players usually use prohibited substances which usually impacts the health of players. This research will be focussing on impact of traditional medicine with reference to Doping in Sports. how the traditional medicines impact the sportsperson which leads to doping in sports. When we are talking about doping it is important to know what is doping so doping means whenever someone uses the banned substance such as an anabolic steroid or erythropoietin or uses a technique of blood doping to improve the athletic performance which will be termed as doping. International Olympics Committee is fighting with doping from very long time after it a regulatory body named World Anti-Doping Agency was created to prevent the players from doping it is a regulatory body which imposes some rules and regulations to prevent them from doping.
