ABSTRACT

Humans are territorial animals before we were evolving into homo sapiens. We consider protecting our boundaries as a duty and become aggressive to prevent outsiders from entering without approval. This human behaviour is quite interesting as its effect can be seen in terms of the security of a nation or state. Various legislations and policies have been framed to protect the land boundaries and maritime borders as the laws lay the basis for any liability and restrict the exploitation of citizens and the environment.

Border issues are a complicated topic that involve many distinct facets. They may occasionally be used to discuss disagreements about territorial sovereignty as well as the boundaries of territorial seas, continental shelf, and exclusive economic zones. Border regions, which are frequently found in isolated places far from their main cities, profit from trade with the country across the border. Border concerns may well be tackled within the context of how to manage cross-border movements of people, products, services, capital, and information, as well as how to economically and socially support these local regions or isolated islands close to borders.

The current laws on the international stage, as well as the national stage, are considered to be inequivalent and lax. Due to this lacunae, there are various major consequences which affect the people and the nations immensely and therefore concrete and stronger border laws are required to be taken into consideration.

All the countries of the world follow a particular map and consider the boundaries and regions but the real issue arise when the neighbouring nation deny to accept it or tries to take down the region from the other’s half.

India has suffered various border relating disputes and a major part of its resources get utilized for solving them. LOC and POK are the two major regional areas that are always in the news as our neighbouring countries try to take it in their bucket. The refugees and migrants face several problems regarding their nationality and identity crisis, the kind of behaviour they are shown by the soldiers and boundary officers give them immense pain and questions the world about what kind of earth we have created and how long we keep on ignoring this vital problem. Even within a nation, several disputes can emerge regarding the boundaries of state, river distribution, and district allocation. If these issues and problems are not given the right light and way then the citizens face critical dangers and have no way to go.
