ABSTRACT
This research paper explores the intricate relationship between human rights and labour relations, following their historical development and addressing current issues in Indian and worldwide contexts. The research highlights the fundamental ideas that steer a just and inclusive society, stressing the critical significance of international accords like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organize Convention.
The study stresses the significance of defending the rights of all workers, particularly those in the unorganized sector, and calls for a cohesive and effective regulatory reform in India. The intricacies found in sectors like as mining provide strong evidence in favor of extending the applicability of human rights norms. Complying with international standards is considered essential in order to establish a workplace that respects each person’s rights and dignity and guarantees moral treatment and the protection of human rights for all employees in the nation. By bridging the gap between international norms and local enforcement, this all-encompassing strategy aims to promote a more just and equal workplace.
